Tonelli has been producing glass furnishing accessories since the 1980s – including bookcases, sideboards, tables, lamps, mirrors, and much more – with the collaboration of international designers; the company adopted an approach based on respect, the oldest and most valuable in the history of humankind. In the early 80s, the company earns credit for having remodeled the furniture sector by introducing on the market a new technique of welding flat crystal plates, which uses a structural glue that allows the welded parts to retain their transparency and achieve a high resistance. In 2020 Tonelli added a significant step to its growth by announcing the artistic direction of Massimo Castagna and a further expansion of the catalog with new products and materials.
